Switch between docket and card views

Projects Views

The card view of a list

Any list in Fee-Lion can be read two ways. Use the view toggle to flip between a dense docket of rows and a card board of tiles, depending on whether you want detail or an overview.

When you’d use this

The docket is for working: reconciling payments, scanning due dates, finding the one invoice a client is asking about. Cards are for thinking: a Monday overview of where every project sits, or a glance at which estimates are still waiting on a decision. Most people settle into one view per list, and Fee-Lion remembers the choice, so you set it once and the list opens the way you like it next time.

Pick a view

  1. Open any list, such as your projects.
  2. Use the view toggle to switch to the docket for tightly packed rows.
  3. Switch to cards for a tile board that’s easier to scan at a glance.

Status at a glance

Either way, every item wears its status the same: a colored dot paired with a plain-language chip. The dot gives you a quick visual read, and the chip spells out exactly where the item stands.

Tip: Reach for the docket when you’re working through a long list, and cards when you want a board-style overview of where everything sits.

FAQ

Does switching views change any data?

No. Both views show the same items with the same statuses; only the layout differs.

Can I sort and filter in both views?

Yes. Filters and the status counts apply to whichever view you are in, so narrowing to overdue invoices works the same on cards and in the docket.

Which view is better on a phone?

Cards. They stack naturally on a narrow screen, while the docket’s columns are easier to read on a desktop.
