Turn on "Require signature to approve" once in your estimate preferences and it applies to every estimate.
Typed name + drawn signature
Clients sign with a finger, stylus or mouse and confirm their full name.
Explicit agreement
An "I agree to the Terms" checkbox sits right above the Sign & approve button.
Audit record
Signer name, email, IP address, device and time are stored with the approval.
Terms fingerprint
A SHA-256 hash of the terms the client saw is saved, so you can show the wording did not change afterwards.
On the PDF
The printable estimate carries a signed-approval block with the signer's audit details.

Every signed approval keeps who signed, from which email, when, from what IP address and device, plus a fingerprint of the terms they agreed to. It is all on the estimate and on its PDF.

Is an e-signature legally binding?
Electronic signatures are recognised in many places, including under the US ESIGN Act, but whether one holds up depends on your contract and where you work. Fee-Lion records the signature and the evidence around it; your lawyer can tell you if that is enough for your situation.
Do I need a separate e-sign subscription?
No. Signed approval is part of Fee-Lion's estimates on every plan, with no per-signature fees.
Can I require signatures on some estimates and not others?
The setting is workspace-wide, in your estimate preferences. When it is off, clients approve with one click as before.
What do clients need to sign?
Just the portal link you already send them. No account and no app; a phone, tablet or computer works.
