Fee-Lion Integrations: Stripe, Google Calendar, Zapier & More

Integrations built for freelancers who bill by the project

Fee-Lion is the invoicing tool for freelancers, consultants, and small studios who charge project fees — not hourly rates. That means our integrations are picked for one reason: they help you send the invoice, get paid faster, and keep the rest of your stack out of your way.

Below is exactly what works today, what ships next, and what’s on the roadmap. No vaporware, no “coming soon” that’s been coming soon for two years.

Live today

These are shipping, tested, and running in production accounts right now.

Stripe — accept card and ACH payments

Connect your Stripe account in about sixty seconds and every Fee-Lion invoice gets a Pay Now button. Clients can pay by credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or US bank transfer (ACH). Funds land in your Stripe balance on Stripe’s normal payout schedule — Fee-Lion never touches the money.

  • One-click connect via Stripe OAuth (no API keys to paste)
  • Automatic payment reconciliation — invoices mark themselves paid
  • Supports deposits, milestone payments, and full-invoice payments
  • Stripe fees pass through at Stripe’s published rates; Fee-Lion adds nothing on top

QuickBooks — CSV export

Not native yet, but functional. Fee-Lion exports a clean, QuickBooks-formatted CSV of your paid invoices, so your bookkeeper (or your accountant at tax time) can import a full year in one drop. A native two-way sync is on the roadmap below.

Coming next

Actively in development. These are the integrations we’re building right now, in the order you’ll see them ship.

Google Calendar — project deadlines on your calendar

Every project you create in Fee-Lion with a due date will push a calendar event to Google Calendar automatically. Milestones show up as separate events. Reschedule in Fee-Lion, and the calendar updates. Reschedule on the calendar, and Fee-Lion updates. No more “wait, when was that due?”

Slack — invoice-paid notifications

Connect a Slack workspace and pick a channel. When a client pays, Fee-Lion drops a message in — client name, amount, invoice number. Perfect for solo freelancers who want the dopamine hit, and for small studios who want the whole team to see wins land.

Zoom and Calendly — attach meeting links to invoices

Sell coaching hours, consulting calls, or discovery sessions? Connect Zoom or Calendly and attach the meeting link (or the booking link) directly to the invoice. The client pays and gets the meeting details in the same email. One fewer thing to chase.

On the roadmap

Planned, scoped, but not in active build yet. Timing depends on customer demand — vote for the ones you want by emailing us.

  • Zapier — via our public API, so you can wire Fee-Lion into 6,000+ apps (Notion, Airtable, HubSpot, Xero, ClickUp, whatever you use)
  • QuickBooks native sync — two-way sync of invoices, payments, and customers, no CSV middleman
  • Xero native sync — same treatment for Xero users
  • Wave import — one-click migration for anyone leaving Wave after its payment features changed
  • HelloSign / Dropbox Sign — attach a signed SOW to any invoice

Have an integration you’d trade money for? Tell us. We prioritize based on what paying customers ask for.

Developer API

Fee-Lion has a REST API. If your integration isn’t on this page, you can probably build it yourself in an afternoon — or wire it through Zapier once that ships.

The API covers invoices, clients, projects, payments, and webhooks (so you can fire off your own automations the moment an invoice is paid). Authentication is via personal API tokens generated inside your account.

Migrating from another tool?

Most people who land on Fee-Lion are leaving something else — usually FreshBooks, QuickBooks, or Wave. The FAQ below covers the questions we hear most often. If yours isn’t there, email us and a human will answer.

Suggested FAQs

Q: Can I migrate my clients and invoices from FreshBooks to Fee-Lion?

A: Yes. Export your clients and open invoices from FreshBooks as CSV (Settings > Import/Export in FreshBooks), then email the files to [email protected] and we’ll import them for you at no cost during onboarding. Historical paid invoices can also be imported for reference, though most freelancers leave those in FreshBooks as an archive.

Q: How do I move from QuickBooks Online to Fee-Lion without losing my books?

A: Fee-Lion is invoicing software, not full accounting, so most people keep QuickBooks for taxes and use Fee-Lion just for sending invoices and getting paid. You export open invoices and customers from QuickBooks as CSV, we import them, and then paid invoices flow back to QuickBooks via our CSV export today (native sync is on the roadmap). Your accountant keeps the same books they’ve always had.

Q: Wave changed its payment processing — can Fee-Lion replace it?

A: Yes, and this is one of the most common migrations we see. Export your customers and outstanding invoices from Wave, send them our way, and you’ll be sending invoices through Fee-Lion the same day. Payments run through Stripe at Stripe’s standard rates, so you know exactly what you’re paying.

Q: Will I lose my payment history if I switch?

A: No. Your existing tool keeps its records, and Fee-Lion starts a fresh, clean ledger from your migration date forward. For tax and audit purposes, most accountants prefer this — a hard cutover date is easier to defend than a messy merged history.

Q: Do I have to use Stripe, or can I connect PayPal or Square?

A: Stripe is the only payment processor live today. PayPal is a frequent request and is on the evaluation list; Square is not currently planned. If a specific processor is a deal-breaker for you, let us know — we prioritize integrations based on paying-customer demand.

Q: Is there a fee to use integrations?

A: No. Every integration listed on this page is included in your Fee-Lion plan. Third-party fees (like Stripe’s payment processing rates) are paid directly to that provider at their published rates — Fee-Lion never marks them up.
