Webhooks & API
Send Fee-Lion's events to your own tools, signed and retried.
Point a webhook at your URL and Fee-Lion POSTs a signed JSON event when an invoice is paid, an estimate is approved, a request comes in and ten other moments. Workspace API keys let your scripts read and write through the same API the app uses. A Zapier app is coming soon.

Everything inside
Every facet, function & convenience.
13 events
Invoice created, sent, paid and overdue; payment received and failed; estimate sent, approved and declined; client created; request received; project completed; time entry created.
Pick events per endpoint
Each URL subscribes to just the events it needs. Up to 20 endpoints per workspace.
Signed deliveries
Every request carries a Feelion-Signature header: a timestamp plus an HMAC-SHA256 of the body with your endpoint's secret.
Rolling secrets
Roll a secret and both the old and new one are signed for 24 hours, so you can switch over without dropping events.
Automatic retries
A failed delivery is retried after 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours, 6 hours and 24 hours.
Delivery log
Recent deliveries per endpoint with the response, and a Redeliver button that resends the same event.
Send a test event
Fire a sample of any subscribed event at your endpoint before real ones arrive.
Safe by default
An endpoint that fails 15 times in a row is switched off and the owner is emailed.
Workspace API keys
Read-only or read and write, shown once, revocable, with when each was last used.
Fenced to one workspace
A key only works for its own workspace and can't reach sign-in, billing, team or key management. 60 requests a minute per key.
Leaves with the person
Remove a teammate and the API keys they made for the workspace are revoked.
Zapier app coming soon
Triggers and actions for Zapier are being prepared. Until then, webhooks and the API cover the same events.

Keys and endpoints, on one settings page
Settings → Integrations holds your API keys and webhook endpoints. Create a read-only key for a reporting sheet and a read-and-write key for a job-board sync; add an endpoint, choose its events, reveal or roll its secret, and send a test.
Questions
The short answers.
Who can set up webhooks and API keys?
The workspace owner and admins. Members and the read-only accountant role can't create or manage them.
How do I know a webhook really came from Fee-Lion?
Check the Feelion-Signature header: compute an HMAC-SHA256 of the timestamp and the raw body with your endpoint's secret and compare it to v1. Reject anything that doesn't match.
What happens if my server is down?
Fee-Lion retries the delivery six times over about a day. You can also redeliver any event from the log. After 15 failures in a row the endpoint is switched off and the owner gets an email.
Is there a Zapier app?
Not yet. A Zapier app is coming soon. Today you can connect Fee-Lion to other tools with webhooks and API keys, including through Zapier's own webhook steps.
Your first client is two minutes away.
Name your workspace, add a client, send the estimate. We'll handle the part where it turns into money.
