Whether you’re booking a one-off consult or enrolling someone in a 12-week program, your billing can be as clean as your meal plans. In Fee-Lion you price the package once, send a link, and let your client approve and pay without creating an account. Here’s how to run it end to end.
Price the consult or program as an estimate
Most nutrition work falls into two shapes: a single paid consult, or a multi-session program you sell as a bundle. Both live as line items on an Estimate. Open Estimates in the left sidebar and start a new one for your client.
- Add the client (or inline-create them if they’re new), then add your line items.
- For a paid intake call, add a fee line — a flat amount like “Initial nutrition assessment.”
- For a program, add a unit line: set quantity to the number of sessions and the per-session rate. “Follow-up coaching session × 8” reads clearly to your client and totals itself.
- Mix in a discount if you bundle (say, 10% off for paying the program upfront) or a surcharge for rush onboarding.
- Apply your tax if it’s relevant, and set a deposit % so part of the program is due before you start.
Tip: Set a default deposit once under Settings → Preferences so every program estimate asks for it automatically. A 30–50% deposit on a multi-week program protects your calendar from no-shows and funds your prep time.
Let the client approve and pay — no login
When the estimate looks right, send it. Your client gets a magic-link portal — no password, no account to create. They open it on their phone, read the plan and pricing, and tap Approve. If you collected a deposit, they can pay it on the spot by card.
- The money lands in your own Stripe account — Fee-Lion never holds your funds. Connect it once under Settings and you’re set.
- Clients pay by card; you can also record an offline payment if someone pays you by cash or transfer.
- You’ll see the estimate move to approved the moment they act, so you know when to block their sessions.
Convert to an invoice and finish the program
Once it’s approved, one click turns the estimate into an Invoice (or a project, if you want checklists and discussions for a longer program). The deposit you already collected is credited, and the balance carries over with a Pay button for your client.
- Open the approved estimate and choose Convert.
- Pick Invoice for the remaining balance, or Project to track sessions, goals, and notes as you go.
- Send the final invoice when the program wraps — your client pays the balance from the same no-login portal.
Recurring memberships and ongoing coaching
If you offer monthly accountability or maintenance check-ins, set up a recurring invoice instead of re-billing by hand. Turn on auto-pay and the client’s card is charged on schedule, so you spend your time on their nutrition — not on chasing payment.
Tip: Use the ⌘K command palette to fly through admin between clients. Type “create invoice for [client]” or “pay INV-204” and skip the clicking entirely.
