Remove a teammate or leave a workspace

When someone stops working with you, remove them from the team page. Their access ends straight away, their seat frees up, and everything they did stays in the workspace under their name. Teammates can also leave a workspace on their own.

When you’d use this

Use it when an employee or contractor moves on, when a project partner no longer needs access, or when you’ve been invited to a workspace you don’t work in any more.

Remove a teammate

1. Go to Settings → Team.
2. Find the person under People and choose Remove.
3. Read the confirmation and confirm.

Owners and admins can remove members. Only the owner can remove an admin, and nobody can remove the owner.

What happens when you remove someone

• Their access ends at once. If they’re signed in, their next click tells them they no longer have access.
• Their seat frees up.
• A timer they had running in the workspace is stopped.
• API keys they created for the workspace are revoked.
• Their estimates, invoices, time and comments stay, still credited to them.

Leave a workspace yourself

On Settings → Team, choose Leave on your own row. The workspace drops out of your account, and Fee-Lion offers the other workspaces you belong to. Owners can’t leave a workspace.

Resend or cancel an invitation

Pending invitations are listed under Invitations. Resend emails the same link again with a fresh seven days to accept. Cancel withdraws it and frees the seat it was holding.

Tip: Removing someone is safe even if they might come back. Invite them again later and their earlier work is still there, credited to them.

FAQ

Can I add them back later?

Yes. Send a new invitation. Their old work is still in the workspace, credited to them.

Does removing someone delete their time entries?

No. Logged time, documents and activity all stay, so job profit and reports don’t change.

Can an admin remove another admin?

No. Only the owner can remove an admin.
