Basements, crawlspaces and rural driveways don’t always have signal. The Job Clock keeps working anyway: your taps are saved on the phone and sent to Fee-Lion when the connection comes back, each one logged exactly once with the time you actually tapped.
When you’d use this
Use it whenever you’re timing work somewhere the signal drops. You don’t have to switch anything on. The clock notices when you’re offline and carries on.
How it works
- Open the Job Clock (Time → Job clock, or Start timer from the quick-actions sheet) and pick the job while you still have signal. The clock remembers your recent jobs and buttons on the phone for a week.
- Tap a task to start timing. Tap another to switch. Tap Stop when you’re done. All of this works offline.
- To add time after the fact, tap Log time and choose a block from 15 minutes to 8 hours.
- When you’re back online, Fee-Lion syncs the waiting entries in order, on its own. You can keep working while it does.
What you’ll see while offline
An Offline pill at the top of the screen, a yellow note on the clock saying how many taps are waiting, and “waiting to sync” on entries that haven’t reached Fee-Lion yet. The count drops to zero once everything is through.
Why nothing gets logged twice
Each tap gets its own ID on the phone. If a sync is retried, Fee-Lion recognises the ID and ignores the repeat. If the timer was stopped on another device in the meantime, Fee-Lion keeps that and tells you rather than overwriting it.
Tip: Only the Job Clock works offline. Sending an estimate, recording a payment or uploading job photos needs a connection, and Fee-Lion tells you when that’s the case.

What if I close the app before it syncs?
The waiting taps stay on the phone and sync the next time you open Fee-Lion with a connection.
