Two of the easiest wins in a service business are following up on quotes and asking happy clients for reviews. Both are easy to forget. Fee-Lion can send them for you on a schedule you set.
When you’d use this
Turn on follow-ups if estimates tend to sit unanswered. Turn on review requests if you want more Google, Yelp or Houzz reviews and keep meaning to ask. Both run daily in the background and are logged in your activity feed.
How to set up estimate follow-ups
- Go to Settings → Preferences → Estimates → Follow-ups.
- Turn on Automatic Follow-ups.
- Set Follow-up Days. The default is 3, 7, 14.
- Save.
On those days, sent estimates that are still waiting for a decision get a short, friendly email with a View & Approve button (a magic link, no login), the valid-until date, and a one-click link the client can use to stop the reminders. Only estimates sent in the last 30 days qualify.
Follow-ups stop when the client approves or declines, when the estimate passes its valid-until date, or when you pause them. The estimate review shows a Follow-ups line with the status and Pause / Resume.
How to set up review requests
- Go to Settings → Preferences → Invoices → Review Requests.
- Paste your Review Link. This can be your Google Business profile review link, Yelp, Houzz or any page.
- Turn on Ask for a Review. It needs the link first.
- Set Days After Payment and, if you like, a Minimum Invoice Amount.
That many days after an invoice is paid in full, the client gets a short thank-you with a Leave us a review button. Each client is asked at most once every 90 days.
Tip: A minimum invoice amount keeps review requests for real jobs, not small add-on charges.

Can I stop follow-ups on one estimate?
Yes. Use Pause on the Follow-ups line in the estimate review. Resume turns them back on.
Will a repeat client get asked for a review every job?
No. Each client is asked at most once every 90 days.
