Your clients come to you for momentum, not paperwork. Fee-Lion lets you price a coaching package once, bill it monthly on autopilot, and give every client a clean magic-link portal they never have to log into. You stay focused on the work; the money shows up in your own bank account.
Package the way you actually sell
Most coaches sell a container: a number of sessions, a program length, maybe a workbook or assessment. Start by building that as an estimate so the price and what’s included are crystal clear before anyone commits.
- From the left sidebar, open Estimates and click New estimate.
- Add a task line for your sessions (hours × rate) — for example, “1:1 coaching, 4 sessions” — or use a fee/unit line for a flat program price (qty × rate).
- Add extras as their own lines: an intake assessment, a workbook, a discounts line for a paid-in-full offer.
- Set your tax and, if you take money up front, a deposit %.
- Send it. Your client opens a portal link, reviews the package, and approves with one click — no account, no password.
Once they approve, convert the estimate to an invoice (or a project) in a single click. The numbers carry over exactly as agreed, so there’s nothing to re-type.
Tip: Save your standard package as a template under Settings → Preferences → Estimates. Next time a client says yes, you’re sending a polished package in under a minute instead of rebuilding it from scratch.
Set up monthly billing on autopilot
Coaching is rarely a one-and-done charge. If you run a monthly container or an ongoing retainer, set it up once and let it run.
- Connect your payouts first: Settings → Preferences and complete Connect Stripe so money lands in your own account.
- Open Invoices from the sidebar and create a recurring invoice for the client’s monthly amount.
- Choose the cadence (monthly) and a start date that matches their billing day.
- Turn on auto-pay so the card on file is charged automatically each cycle — no chasing, no awkward reminders.
Your client can also opt into auto-pay themselves from the portal, which is the smoothest path: they enter their card once and forget about it. You both stop thinking about payment and get back to the actual coaching.
Keeping money in your name
This is the part that matters most: card payments flow into your own Stripe account, not some middleman’s. Fee-Lion takes a small platform fee on top, and that’s it — you control your payouts and your timing. If a client ever pays you by transfer or in person, you can still record an offline payment so your books stay accurate.
A portal that keeps clients moving
The thing that quietly kills coaching cash flow is friction — a lost invoice, a forgotten login, a “can you resend that?” The portal removes all of it. Every estimate and invoice you send opens through a magic link, so your client can:
- Review and approve a coaching package in one click.
- Pay an invoice by card right from the page.
- Enroll in auto-pay for their monthly program.
- Pull up everything on their phone between sessions, no app required.
You can brand that portal with your logo and colors under Settings → Preferences → Branding, so the whole experience feels like you — calm, professional, and on-message.
Tip: Press ⌘K anywhere to run the command palette. Type something like “pay INV-204” or “create invoice for Jordan” and you’ll handle billing between client calls without ever digging through menus.
