A request form gives new and existing clients a simple way to ask for work. You share a link or embed the form on your website, and each submission lands in a Requests inbox with the client already added to Fee-Lion.
When you’d use this
Use it in place of a generic contact form, in your email signature, or on social profiles. It collects the details you need to quote, including photos, so you spend less time going back and forth.
How to create a form
- Go to Settings → Request Forms and click + New form.
- Give it a name and an intro.
- Add and order your questions: service choices, budget choices, preferred date, a message, a photo or PDF upload (up to 5 MB), and any custom questions.
- Write a thank-you message. Optionally turn on an auto-reply to the person who submits it.
- Choose whether to draft an estimate automatically, then save.
Each form card has an On/off toggle, its link with Copy link, Preview, Edit questions, Embed on your site (a snippet for your website), View requests, New link to replace the link, and Delete.
What happens when someone submits
The public page shows your logo and business name, and no login is needed. When a request comes in, Fee-Lion matches the contact by email or creates the client company and contact, stores the request and any upload, and emails owners and admins a “New request” notice. If you turned them on, it drafts an estimate using the matching price-book line and sends the auto-reply.
Spam is kept down with a hidden honeypot field, a minimum fill time and rate limits, so clients never have to solve a CAPTCHA.
Working the inbox
Open Estimates → Requests. Requests move through New, Contacted, Quoted, Won and Lost. Open one to see the details, change its status, add team-only notes, Convert to estimate, Reply by email or Remove it. A requests count appears in the sidebar.
FAQ
Someone is misusing my form link. What can I do?
Use New link to replace it, or switch the form off.
Will a returning client be duplicated?
Fee-Lion matches the contact by email, so a known email is linked to the existing contact.
