Export reports to CSV and PDF

Exports Reporting

Reports and exports

Your data shouldn’t be trapped in the app. Any list or report exports in two formats, depending on who’s going to read it next.

When you’d use this

Export when the next reader is not inside Fee-Lion: your accountant at quarter end, a lender who wants a revenue history, a client who asks for a statement of everything billed this year, or your own spreadsheet when you want to model a price change. The CSV is the honest format for anything someone will calculate with; the PDF is for anything someone will file or read. Exporting a filtered list gives you exactly the subset you were looking at, which saves cleaning up afterwards.

Pick the right format

  • CSV — clean rows and columns for a spreadsheet, your bookkeeper’s software, or your own analysis.
  • PDF — a print-ready document you can hand to your accountant or file as-is.

Export a report

  1. Open the list or report you want.
  2. Choose to export.
  3. Pick CSV for spreadsheets or PDF for a finished document.

Tip: Send your accountant the PDF and keep the CSV for yourself. One is for reading, the other is for slicing.

Exports cover the same numbers you see on screen, so what you drill into is what you hand off. See the reports page for more.

FAQ

Can I export a single client’s invoices?

Yes. Filter the invoice list to the client, then export; only the filtered rows are included.

Does the CSV include line items?

List exports are one row per document. Open a specific report, such as a revenue drilldown expanded to items, to export at line level.

Can my accountant get access instead of exports?

Yes. Invite them as a teammate on Studio and they can run and export reports themselves whenever they need them.
