The ops dashboard

The ops dashboard is the one screen built for the person running the business. It puts the numbers that actually move the needle side by side so you can read the state of the shop in a single sweep.

When you’d use this

Open the dashboard when you need to decide what to do, not just what happened. A rising aging number says spend the morning on follow-ups; a low approval rate says look at how you quote; a soft recurring forecast says it is time to sell. Because every number here links to the records behind it, the dashboard is a starting point rather than a summary: notice the problem, click into it, and fix it before the month closes.

What it shows

  • Recurring-revenue forecast — what your repeating income looks like going forward.
  • Outstanding balances — how much is still owed to you.
  • Time utilization — how booked your hours are.
  • Invoice aging — how overdue the unpaid invoices are getting.
  • Estimate approval rate — how often your estimates turn into yeses.

How to use it

  1. Open Reports and go to the Ops dashboard.
  2. Scan the top line: forecast and outstanding balances tell you about cash.
  3. Check aging next — that’s where money gets stuck.
  4. Read utilization and approval rate for where the pipeline stands.

Tip: Make this your Monday-morning screen. Five seconds here tells you where to spend the rest of the week.

FAQ

Can I change what the dashboard shows?

The dashboard shows the fixed set of operating numbers. For custom cuts, use the drilldown reports, which group by client, project, or tag.

How current are the numbers?

Live. They reflect every invoice, payment, estimate, and time entry as it is recorded, so what you see on Monday morning is the real position.

Who can see the dashboard?

Teammates with owner or admin roles. Members work inside the workspace without the business-level reporting.
