Estimate template styles

The numbers on your estimate stay the same no matter how it looks — the template style only changes the presentation. Fee-Lion gives you six styles to match the impression you want to make.

When you’d use this

Pick a default once, early, so every document you send looks consistent. Then override per estimate only when the audience calls for it: Bold for a creative pitch, Classic for a corporate procurement team, Compact when a long itemized quote needs to fit on one page. Because the style is cosmetic, you can change your mind after a client has already approved an earlier version without affecting any figures.

The six styles

  • Classic — a traditional, formal look.
  • Modern — clean and contemporary.
  • Minimal — pared back to the essentials.
  • Bold — high-contrast and confident.
  • Editorial — magazine-style layout.
  • Compact — tight spacing that fits more on a page.

Set a workspace default

  1. Open Settings → Preferences → Branding.
  2. Choose a template style. A live preview shows the change as you pick.
  3. Save. Every new estimate now starts with that style.

Override it on one estimate

Need a different look for a single quote? You don’t have to change your default.

  1. Open the estimate and go to its Project tab.
  2. Change the Template style for that estimate.

Tip: The style is purely cosmetic. Your tasks, fees, discounts, tax, and totals carry over identically — only the layout changes, so you can switch freely without touching your figures.

FAQ

Does the invoice use the same style as the estimate?

Invoices follow the same workspace default, and the template setting on a converted invoice comes from the estimate it was made from, so the look stays consistent across the job.

Can I see the style before sending?

Yes. The Branding settings show a live preview as you pick, and the estimate’s Review page shows exactly what the client will see.

Can I upload my own template?

Not currently. Choose one of the six styles and add your logo and colors through Branding; the styles are built around those so they look like yours.
